I can’t believe how much my son has grown since summer. Last summer, while in the Philippines, I bought him new pants and t-shirts that is at least 1 size bigger. Guess what? Most of the t-shirts and pants don’t fit him anymore. So here I am looking for some 5.11 tactical pants online. I heard that they are good for comfort.
I used to have a supervisor who is obese. And she really needed to lose weight as it is causing her health problems. But because she is taking too many medicines, she cannot just take any other diet pills as it may cause other problems. So her only option is to suppress her appetite and the doctor recommended Ephedrasil Hardcore. I saw her last month, and she lost quite a few pounds already. Doctor said to take it easy as they don’t want her weight to drop drastically.
Calgary always needs people. And because we don’t have enough manpower, we had to borrow people from other airports. As an incentive to temporarily relocate themselves, the company is giving them allowance aside from their free board and lodging. And they seem to be gaining weight very fast.
Lipozene seems to be a common word among them these days. I’ve been hearing about this medicine that reduces body fat which you can conveniently ordered on the internet.
Ever since I was a child, the word Samsonite was already part of my vocabulary. I know that they are known for their durability. As a graduation gift to me, I went on a 3-week tour group in Taiwan. And as a gift to myself for working 1 whole year I decided to treat myself to Hong Kong. Would you believe that the Samsonite I had back then is still with me? I just couldn’t let it go.
These are the books in my kids' bookshelves. Right now, I am encouraging my 11 year old son to read Hardy Boys... and my 8 year old daughter on Nancy Drew.
My daughter is trying and she's on her 2nd book already though I don't think she really understood the whole story of the first book.
My son prefers to re-read his pokemon book series or archie comics. The Harry Potter books that you see remains on the shelves. My son finished 1 book and started reading the second one, but he didn't get to finished it.
I grab this meme from Meeya's blog. What books does your kids read?
Christmas is just around the corner. And for small business or even corporations this is the best time to think about their promotional items. It is never too early to start planning on the item where they would want to put their company name and logo. And at the same time, find an item that the consumers or their clients will find it useful like coffee mugs, tote bags, journals, organizers to name a few.
Is there such a thing as the best diet pills? A friend of mine asks me. And my answer is “I don’t know.” I told her to inquire around. Ask people if they take diet pills or not. And if they are, ask for the brand and how the result works. Then go to the internet and research on it just to make sure that that product is what you needed.

Sometimes it seems as if children who have ADHD can't get enough out of life — no matter how much they're given. This is especially true for youngsters with the hyperactive form of ADHD, which can trigger violent reactions even to minor letdowns.
One child I worked with blew up at the teacher when a little rain delayed school recess. Another wept inconsolably after being told he wouldn't be able to stop for ice cream after a fun-filled day.
When an ADHD child overreacts to disappointment, parents must avoid overreacting themselves. In time, even the most volatile children can learn to rein in the anger and frustration their disappointment triggers. In the meantime, here are eight things parents and caregivers can do to help a child cope with disappointment.
- Discuss potential letdowns in advance
If your child realizes that disappointment may lie in store, she'll be able to plan how to react. For example, as you drive to the mall, you might say, "Last time we tried to find that game you wanted, the store was all out. I remember how disappointed you were and how upset you got. What will we do if you are disappointed today?"- Give others a heads-up
If you're concerned that your child's overreaction to disappointment might spoil a school outing, play date, birthday party, sporting event, or another group activity, consider giving the teacher or other adult in control a heads-up. You might say, "Sometimes my child becomes extremely upset when things don't go his way. When that happens, a few kind words can usually calm him down. If this happens a lot, please let me know, so that I can talk to him at home."
If the problem persists, a parent-teacher meeting may be needed to review more effective solutions.- Acknowledge your child's disappointment
Let him know that you can see he is disappointed, and that you understand why he feels that way. This shows him that you understand him and that you are there to help him through the problem.- Ask your child how upset he feels
By having him reflect on the intensity of his disappointment, you're helping him learn to understand his emotions and control his behavior. And knowing how upset your child feels helps you determine whether it's necessary to intervene in order to keep the situation from spiraling out of control.
Imagine that nine-year-old Jim is attending a football game with his father. During the first quarter, Jim asks for a team jersey and is disappointed when his dad says he'll buy one only after the game. If Jim feels only a little upset, a few soothing words from his father should be enough to prevent a meltdown. But if Jim feels so upset that he wouldn't be able to enjoy the game, buying the jersey right away might be the better choice.
If your child has trouble putting his feelings into words, a "feeling thermometer" can help. This is simply a drawing of a thermometer marked with levels of distress. The child can keep the thermometer in his pocket to refer to — and to show you how upset he feels. If he's older, he can simply refer to the names of the various levels to describe how upset he feels.- Encourage your child to pursue "Plan B"
Help her realize that, even if she doesn't get her first choice, she may be satisfied with a second or even a third choice. Before taking your little soccer enthusiast to the playground, for instance, you might ask her: "What if no one wants to play soccer today?" Encourage her to come up with a satisfying alternative. For instance, she might say to her playmates: "If I play your game today, can we play soccer tomorrow?"- Use a carrot-and-stick approach to discourage outbursts
In the playground scenario described above, the carrot might be that your daughter gets to rent a video if she copes well with the disappointment of not getting to play soccer. The stick might be that she has to go home immediately if she overreacts to the situation.- Help your child with "damage control"
A friend or classmate who witnesses an outburst by your child may be reluctant to interact with him in the future. In such cases, a word or two of explanation from you can help repair the damaged relationship and make way for future playdates. Also, try planning a structured activity, such as a movie, for the two children.- Show your child how you deal with disappointment
Let him know that life is not always fair and that everyone experiences letdowns - but that you try to remain optimistic. You might say, "I waited all week to borrow a book at the library, and it still hasn't come in. I'm so disappointed. I guess I'll read something else."
Hubby and I are gaining weight. And it’s not good. We need to lose weight very badly. Hubby has been taking the bus to and from work so that he will get a little exercise by walking. As for me, I don’t have the discipline to go to the gym. So I am looking at a second hand elliptical exercising machine. But it will have to wait until after our move.
Before the school started, the kids and I went to see the optometrist to have our yearly eye examination. Sad to say, all 3 of us need to wear prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Aclens.com carries major brands of contact lenses like Acuvue, Biomedics, Purevision and much more and can even help you save up to 70% off retail prices.
We ended up just getting regular eyeglasses. I will consider contact lenses next time.
A very good friend of mine requested that I post this one....

When my mother-in-law was here last winter, she brought some stuff for her vacation house in Tagaytay. When she realized how much she bought, she didn’t want to take the risk of paying overweigh fees to the airline. She then decided to buy a weighing scale. I suggested that she got one of those digital scales. She brought one not for the purpose of knowing how much she weighs or to weigh ingredients for her food. She bought one for the purpose of weighing her luggage. The airlines are religiously implementing weight limits on checked baggage as well as carry on. She ended up leaving some stuff here that we brought home last June.

A friend of mine who recently migrated to the US had decided to get a certificate in fitness like a personal trainer. Between her 3 young kids below the age of 10 and working full time and house chores waiting for her when she gets home, it was nearly impossible to juggle everything and find time for herself. She can’t afford to work part time because the income will not be enough she said.
Her best choice is to be a personal trainer because she would be able to stay fit while working, she has the option to work part time or full time and still get paid well. She needed to get a certificate in order to get a good job anyway and this course is cheaper than most courses and shorter time frame too.
She also claims that most women wanted to stay fit but just couldn’t find the time between work and family and kids’ activities. Her friends are actually interested to get her services once she got her personal trainer certification.
And unlike being a nurse where you need to be certified in each state that you want to practice, a personal trainer is certified across the US. So she and her husband can be flexible to relocate depending on where her husband will be assigned.

To much of the ADHD community, Michael Phelps's phenomenal swimming at the Bejing Summer Olympics is a beacon of pride and hope. For all the advances in diagnosing and treating ADHD, it remains greatly stigmatized. In chat rooms and bulletin boards people post items like "ADHD is not a disability" as a way of giving support to those who are living with it. Yet, after we watch Michael Phelps, his fierce determination and single-minded focus, it is clear that even the name Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder falls short in describing just what ADHD is. Clearly Michael Phelps has no shortage of attention!
Many people have no idea that Michael Phelps has ADHD, yet he hasn’t kept it a secret. In an August 13, 2008 TimesOnline article, his mother is quoted as saying, "In kindergarten I was told by his teacher, 'Michael can't sit still, Michael can't be quiet, Michael can't focus.'" I said, maybe he's bored. The teacher said that was impossible. "He’s not gifted," came back the reply. "Your son will never be able to focus on anything."
How many people with ADHD are told just that – you’ll never be able to focus on anything! Obviously after Michael Phelps’s summer of 2008 performance, it’s clear that ADHD does not have to stop you from focusing on and reaching your dreams.
Today let’s take a page from Michael’s book and channel our passions. If we do, imagine what we can accomplish. As his coach, Bob Bowman, says, “One of the things I call Michael is the motivation machine. Bad moods, good moods, he channels everything for gain. He’s motivated by success, he loves to swim fast and when he does that he goes back and trains better. He’s motivated by failure, by money, by people saying things about him … just anything that comes along he turns into a reason to train harder, swim better. Channelling his energy is one of his greatest attributes.”
Congratulations Michael on your gold bonanza. And thank you for providing the ADHD community a role model that shatters all of our sterotypes!
Now it’s your turn, what motivates you to succeed?

For most of the senior citizens who lives by themselves, they depend on pharmacy companies to do home delivery of their meds. DrugDelivery.ca, an escrow service company, helps not only the senior citizens but the general public too, in connecting with a fully licensed pharmacy and saves an average of 40% off their medications. They even matched prices from competitors and will give you additional 10% for the difference.
For a limited time, they are offering free shipping for life. If you have a need to take any kind of medication on a daily basis, you might want to explore Online Pharmacy Escrow Service and see if they can help you save.
What attracts you to the opposite sex? The first thing that I notice is the eyes. I believe that the eyes are the window to a man’s soul. I love deep, big eyes with long, curly eye lashes. Hubby said the same thing about me. He likes my small eyes that when I smile, you will just see a line. Hehehe...
Most guys that I know love girls with long hair. They say that the way a girl swing or flip her hair is a way of flirting. And also long hair makes a girl look younger. Well I’m a girl so I cannot relate to that. And I have never used my long hair to flirt with guys.
The most challenging about my look is learning to keep my hair shiny and straight and tangle free. I’ve tried different shampoos and conditioners until I discovered Extreme Style by VO5. I just love the way my long hair drops when I used it.
If you haven’t tried this one, you might want to try playing the Ultimate Flirting Championship game by Victory Hair and see how good you are at flirting. If you love online games, you might find this one interesting too.

A lot of the elderly Calgarians owns a summer home in a tropical city like Florida or Los Angeles. This is their retreat during the winter months. And for my retirement, I would love to do just that.
I would love to own a beach house or a unit in Apogee Condo South Beach. I would love to wake up and look out the window with the view of the ocean.
My MIL is planning on another trip to Orlando, Florida. The initial plan is this coming February, but nothing is definite yet. So in the meantime, I am starting to make plans. I'm trying to look for cheaper Disney World tickets and hotels for 3 families. The last time we were in Florida was in 2004. And I can't wait to go back again. Our family just love Mickey!
The first and last time that I was in Las Vegas was in 1993. I had a wonderful time there with my best friend. The lights are just superb. And I've been wanting to go back there with hubby. But I guess I will have to wait till I can leave my kids alone at home.
Aside from casinos, Las Vegas is also known its very entertaining shows. Here is your chance to buy cheap tickets to numerous Las Vegas shows.
One of hubby's dream is to be able to watch an NBA game live. But our trips to the U.S.A. is always on short notice and limited time, so we are always unable to secure tickets for any game.
He was glad to discover Premium Seats USA. This is the ultimate source for securing Miami Heat tickets on the web.
It is scary to grow old here in North America. Most elderly people go to senior homes because their children are too busy with their own lives to take care of them. Unlike back home, our children will surely take care of their senior parents because that is how our culture is.
So in North America, companies like Care Givers of America is a blessing for the senior citizens. They are the ultimate home health care agency that will take care of our love ones.
